Innovation and Economic Recovery
In the aftermath of the financial crisis of 2008-2009, the challenges of innovation and economic recovery dictated policy agendas. ICLRD responded to this challenge, focussing in particular on local and regional solutions and the role of cross-border cooperation in economic recovery.
When society and economy begin to recover following the Covid-19 pandemic, similar challenges will be faced and innovative solutions will be required at local, regional and national scales. The ICLRD can play an active role in monitoring and advising on the regional dimension of economic recovery.
